I believe that this may be Martha, the gentle and kind ghost of Llancaiach Manor. She was very popular with the children at the Manor. Martha took care of the children......she loved  them dearly. Many spirits of children have been noted at Llancaiach Manor, so Martha may be there to watch over them.

The old man may have known Martha as a child. He always had fond memories of her, even on his death bed. This is why his spirit has manifested in conjunction with Martha......
